INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN RELIEF TEAMS PROVIDE POVERTY-STRICKEN AREAS WITH
FREE SURGICAL + MEDICAL AID
"So happy to be apart of this mission and fully submerged in the culture with these amazing people! I love this kid!"
"After 30 hours of traveling home I am filled with so many emotions looking at this photo of our Operating Room in Biri. These people travel from near and far to wait 10+ hours for a procedure that they may have been waiting to have done for years. In the heat and chaos that surround them not one complaint, only gratitude. So much gratitude. This is something I take home with me as I reflect on this life changing experience. I have so much love for these people and their beautiful country. "

WHO WE ARE
International Surgical Missions at Parkview Medical Center is a secular, non-profit humanitarian aid organization of medical professionals based in Southern Colorado.
We are a health outreach organization that organizes relief teams to provide medical aid, particularly surgeries, in poverty-stricken areas. As a group, we organize trips to developing countries to provide surgical care to people who would otherwise be untreated. On these trips, we send physicians, anesthesia providers, dentists, nurses, surgical scrub technicians, and support help. Not only do these individuals generously volunteer their time and skills, they also donate their share of expenses for the mission.
WHO WE SERVE
A typical patient on the Philippine island of Biri is a fisherman with an annual income of $350 for the entire family. Electricity runs about 12 hours each day. Even basic healthcare is beyond the villagers' means.
We treat over 200 patients each trip. When ISM is in residence, the Governor provides 24/7 electricity to the village. Everyone benefits.
After we build and establish ORs, other medical groups staff the facilities to provide healthcare to the villagers. ISM's influence continues year-round, with the support of the government.
